This Privacy Policy governs our data handling practices for the OsaniRank Chrome Extension, web dashboard, and API integrations. We adhere strictly to applicable data protection regulations and developer platform policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy.

2. Information We Access and Process

OsaniRank operates as a browser-centric research intelligence utility. We collect and process minimal data necessary to provide SEO metrics:

  • User-Initiated Search Queries: Keywords or domain URLs entered into Google search or the OsaniRank dashboard to fetch SEO metrics.
  • OAuth Authorization Tokens: Tokens granted via user authentication to query official Google Ads API endpoints. These tokens are stored securely in local browser storage (chrome.storage.local).
  • Public Web Metrics: Aggregated, publicly available authority indicators (such as Moz DA, Ahrefs DR, referring domains, and domain age).

3. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

OsaniRank accesses Google Ads API data using OAuth 2.0 with the scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords.

Google Limited Use Disclosure:
OsaniRank's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we declare that:

  • Read-Only Purpose: Google Ads API access is strictly utilized to retrieve read-only keyword planning metrics (such as search volume, CPC bid estimates, and competition index) via the KeywordPlanIdeaService and generateKeywordHistoricalMetrics.
  • No Campaign Modification: We do not create, edit, pause, or manage Google Ads campaigns or account billing.
  • No Data Brokering: Google user data and API results are never sold, rented, leased, or transferred to third-party data brokers, advertisers, or surveillance intermediaries.
  • No AI Model Training: Google Ads API user data is not used to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Data Storage and Security

We employ robust security measures to protect your credentials and research queries:

  • OAuth refresh and access tokens are saved in isolated, sandboxed local extension storage.
  • All communications with Google APIs and third-party metrics providers occur strictly over encrypted HTTPS/TLS 1.3 connections.
  • Users can instantly purge locally stored tokens, settings, and cached results at any time by clearing their extension data or uninstalling the extension.

5. Third-Party Services

To provide multi-engine authority analysis, OsaniRank may query third-party public endpoints (such as Moz, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and SimilarWeb) to fetch public domain authority indicators. These calls do not transmit personally identifiable information (PII).
